The Anatomy of a Quality LLDPE Recycle Pellet

Turning raw plastic film into high-performance LLDPE pellets isn’t just about grinding it up. To make a pellet that actually performs like a virgin resin, the processor needs to follow a rigorous industrial protocol:

• Mechanical Sorting: It starts with separating true LLDPE from contaminants like PVC or heavy inks, which will destroy your melt clarity.
• Friction Washing: The plastic is washed under high-pressure friction to strip away adhesives and organic grime.
• Degassing & Filtration: This is the most critical step. As the plastic is extruded, it must be degassed to remove moisture and trapped volatiles. Without this, you get bubbles. Without multi-stage melt filtering, you get black specks that cause film to snap under tension.

Why Industrial Buyers Source Direct

If you need container-load volumes of recycled LLDPE, dealing with brokers is a slow, expensive trap. They can’t tell you the MFI, they can’t show you the processing line, and they certainly can’t guarantee a consistent supply chain.
