Directly Processed Polycarbonate for High-Performance Manufacturing

In the realm of engineering plastics, Polycarbonate (PC) is prized for its glass-like transparency and virtually unbreakable impact strength. However, the quality of your molded or extruded products relies entirely on the purity of your raw polymer base. We are not brokers or intermediaries; we are direct plastics processors and traders. Every supersack of Crushed PC Bottle Regrind we export has been systematically collected, mechanically sorted, hot-washed, and ground within our own processing facilities. By maintaining absolute control over the recycling chain, we guarantee a premium, melt-ready resin that prevents nozzle blockages, eliminates optical defects, and maximizes your production yield.

Our PC regrind is sourced exclusively from high-grade post-consumer liquid containers, primarily clear and light-blue tinted 5-gallon water cooler bottles. Because we source from these heavy-duty, food-grade applications, the resulting flake boasts mechanical properties, thermal resistance, and light transmission rates that rival virgin petrochemical polycarbonate, delivering massive cost savings without sacrificing quality.

Advanced Separation and De-Contamination Technology

Recycling Polycarbonate requires precision engineering. The most severe threat to PC recycling is cross-contamination with PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate). Even trace amounts of PET can cause severe degradation, brittleness, and milky discoloration during the high-temperature PC melt phase. Furthermore, PP (Polypropylene) caps and heavy adhesives must be completely eradicated.

To deliver a pure, extrusion-ready flake, our processing facility utilizes a strict, multi-stage refinement line:

  1. Manual & Advanced Optical Sorting: Before crushing, whole bottles are inspected and sorted by color (Clear or Light Blue). Any stray PET bottles, heavily degraded containers, or non-PC plastics are immediately rejected using advanced infrared (NIR) optical sorters.

  2. Precision Crushing: The heavy-duty bottles are fed into specialized granulators, reducing the tough material into a uniform 10mm to 12mm flake, ensuring consistent hopper feeding and a stable melt flow.

  3. Heavy Media Separation (Sink-Float): Flakes enter a precise density-separation tank. Because Polycarbonate is dense (approx. 1.20 g/cm³), it sinks to the bottom. Lightweight contaminants, such as the PP/PE bottle caps and neck rings, float to the top and are skimmed away.

  4. Intensive Hot Washing & Friction Scrubbing: The sunken PC flakes undergo a high-temperature caustic wash and severe friction scrubbing. This critical step strips away stubborn label glues, sanitizes the plastic, and removes any lingering organic residues.

  5. Thermal Drying & De-dusting: Polycarbonate is highly hygroscopic (it absorbs moisture from the air). If melted while wet, it undergoes hydrolysis, ruining its molecular weight and impact strength. Our flakes are centrifugally spun and aggressively thermally dried to achieve a moisture content strictly below 0.5%, ready for immediate processing.

Industrial Applications and Versatility

Our highly refined, clear PC regrind is an indispensable raw material for manufacturers across Europe requiring toughness and transparency:

  • Extruded Roofing and Glazing: The premier choice for manufacturing multi-wall polycarbonate roofing sheets, greenhouse panels, and shatterproof architectural glazing.

  • Automotive Industry: Perfectly suited for injection molding headlight lenses, interior transparent dials, and impact-resistant automotive trim.

  • Electrical and Electronics (E&E): Provides the necessary heat resistance and dimensional stability for manufacturing LED lighting diffusers, switchgear housings, and meter covers.

  • Consumer Goods and Packaging: Utilized in the production of durable, non-food contact storage containers, protective eyewear, and heavy-duty luggage shells.

Empowering the European Circular Economy

The European Union’s Circular Plastics Alliance and stringent environmental directives are pushing manufacturers toward highly sustainable, low-carbon production models. Producing virgin Polycarbonate is incredibly energy-intensive, requiring complex petrochemical synthesis.

By integrating our directly processed PC regrind into your manufacturing lines, your facility drastically reduces its dependency on fossil fuels and significantly lowers its Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions. Our secondary polymer empowers European manufacturers to produce eco-friendly, durable goods that meet rigorous ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) targets.

Seamless EU Logistics and REACH Compliance

Engineering plastic manufacturers operate on tight, high-volume production cycles. We possess the processing capacity and the advanced logistical framework to ensure your facility remains fully supplied. We manage direct exports to all 27 EU member states, providing tailored freight solutions built specifically around your consumption rate.

Whether you require 40ft High Cube containers loaded with heavy-duty FIBC Jumbo bags delivered to major maritime ports like Antwerp, Rotterdam, and Hamburg, or direct overland truck freight to extrusion facilities in Central and Eastern Europe, we handle all logistical complexities. Every shipment is fully compliant with European cross-border waste shipment regulations and REACH directives, ensuring rapid, frictionless customs clearance.
